Thursday, March 27th, 2025

Grandma Terry and I had to check out of the Disney's All-Star Music Resort this morning, and we weren't exactly quick at moving. We didn't finish packing up the car and actually completing check-out until 11am.

We headed off to Disney's Hollywood Studios first, but after riding the tram in from the parking lot we didn't go through security and into the park, we instead hopped on the Skyliner to Disney's Riviera Resort to meet up with Jason, Heather, and Colin to exchange popcorn buckets. Aunt Erica had brought up the ones that we had purchased for Heather earlier in the year, so we took them over to the resort to drop them off while we picked up the Thumper buckets that we bought at Epcot on Tuesday. After our bucket exchange, we all got back on the Skyliner to return to Hollywood Studios.

The rest of the group headed into the park when we got there while I ran our buckets out to the car. When I got in they were in line at the Starbucks in the The Trolley Car Café. After they picked up their drinks a cast member announced that they had mistakenly made a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich, and they were giving it away for free. I am not normally a breakfast sandwich type of person, but I figured why not give it a shot - it was free, after all! I didn't think it was the best thing I've ever had, as it was a little eggier than I would prefer, but the bacon was good and it was decent overall. We found a table to sit at alongside The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge to enjoy the drinks and sandwich.

Once we decided we had sat long enough, we headed to Mickey's of Hollywood to do some window shopping. After we completed our tour of the shop, we all agreed to go for a ride in Grandma's car to Disney Springs to do some more shopping...

Disney's Hollywood Studios

We spotted this "Jedi Jeep" in the parking lot at Disney's Hollywood Studios!

We made the drive over to Disney Springs and hit up a few shops. Up first was World of Disney, where we browsed the various offerings. We then headed over to the Marketplace Co-Op to see what other offerings were available. We then headed over to Disney's Days of Christmas so that Grandma Terry could try to get a head start on her Christmas ornament hunt. While there we even saw Santa Claus, who apparently needs a summer job to keep up with inflation! We also made a brief detour through Once Upon a Toy so that Colin could browse through the cars for sale. Our final stop was at The LEGO Store. While I found several buy-worthy sets, they just weren't in the budget for me at the moment. Colin really wanted a race car set, but he was struggling to decide which one he wanted most! While he was busy deciding, Grandma Terry and I figured that it was time for us to make the drive home. We headed back to the car to make the long haul back towards Tampa.

All in all a great three days, despite the spring break crowds and lack of rides and shows. It was great to see Jason, Heather, and Colin once again. They'll be back in August, so perhaps we'll get the chance to do it all over again!

Disney Springs

Apparently Santa Clause is now working summers at Disney's Days of Christmas in Disney Springs!

We spotted a Detroit Pistons Jaden Ivey fan while walking through Disney Springs.
