Home Up

Saturday, June 20th, 2026

As I made my way north on I-75 near Bradenton, this accident was being cleaned up on the southbound side and in the median. Although northbound traffic was slowed a little, it didn't hold me up too long as I continued to head to Aunt Erica's house before heading to Walt Disney World!

Normally I would go with Grandma Terry and Aunt Erica when we go to Disney to visit with my cousin Heather and her family, but Grandma was working so today it was just Erica and I.

We arrived at Disney's Hollywood Studios before Jason, Heather, and Colin. Since we had some time to kill before they got there, we headed down Sunset Boulevard to Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway. We enjoyed our time on the ride, and when we got off we still had some down time as Heather and her family had gotten in line for Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway unknowingly while we were on it. Erica and I headed over towards the entrance to Animation Courtyard to hang out, and we were lucky enough to see Stitch pass by us and give us a big wave!

After Jason, Heather, and Colin finished their ride, we all met up and said our hello's. Since we were close, we headed in to watch The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure. Although this isn't a show that I would make a priority to see each trip, it is an enjoyable telling of the classic movie that I grew up with.

After the show we headed over towards Toy Story Land and on into Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. On our way back through, Aunt Erica and I waited at the new seat area while Heather's family took a spin on Toy Story Mania! (they had a Lightning Lane and we didn't feel like waiting in line).

We headed off to Sunset Boulevard for lunch. I grabbed the 1/3 lb Angus Bacon Cheeseburger from Rosie's All-American Café. It started to rain as we were heading down Sunset, so we were thankful that we were able to grab a covered tablet to eat at, saving us (and our lunch) from getting soaked.

During lunch we decided that we wanted to head over to Epcot, so we made our way out of the park and went off to the Skyliner for our ride!

We got off the Skyliner at the International Gateway in Epcot, and began making our way around the World Showcase. Colin wanted to check out a few things at the Mitsukoshi Department Store (the only one in the United States!) in the Japan pavilion. We also headed over to The American Adventure (where I might have purchased the Sam Eagle popcorn bucket, but I waited so long to complete this page on the website that I honestly don't recall if it was this trip or not).

We were all pretty hot by this point of the day, so we headed over to World Celebration to check out the Disney Vacation Club ImaginAtrium – A Member Lounge (thanks to Jason & Heather's DVC membership) in the Imagination! Pavilion. We enjoyed a few complimentary drinks and snacks before Erica and I decided that we better get headed out. It was great to see Jason, Heather, and Colin again, and as always I enjoyed my day in the parks!
