NAIAS - Auto Show - Page 2

Home Up

After our trip through Cobo Hall for the auto show, we hopped aboard the People Mover for a ride to Greektown. We dined at Pizza Papalis once again this year, as the kids love the "make your own" pizzas (the root beer float that comes with the meal certainly doesn't hurt their feelings either!). This year Tara & I opted against the deep dish pizza and instead we each ordered a calzone. I thought that it was OK, but not as good as the deep dish pizza we usually get!

Lunch at Pizza Papalis

Samantha and Tyler working on their "make your own" pizzas.

Jayden worked diligently at placing her pepperoni close together.

Drew spread a lot of cheese on his pizza.

Sam attempted to arrange her pepperoni into the shape of a flower.

Jay sampled almost as much of the toppings as she put on her pizza!

Tyler was very proud of his pizza, which said "Hi."

Drew made his pizza into a smiley face :-).

Once everyone finished their meal (well, except Jayden, who never seems to eat a meal that we pay for her to eat) we hopped back on the People Mover for our ride back to Cobo. Last year we made an extra loop around the city, but the kids were all ready to get off after we made our round trip this time. Once we disembarked from the train, that concluded our trip to Detroit for the North American International Auto Show for 2010. It was a fun day, and I am almost 100% certain that we will be back again next year!

The People Mover

Somehow our kids always seem to find the "Elderly and Handicapped" section of the car. Remember this?

Jayden took a seat next to her father.

Tyler and Drew were interested in the scenery. Sam was interested in all of the things that we could have done at each of the stops.
