Game 2

Unlike yesterday's matchup between the Flint and Hamilton teams, which went almost a full period before a goal was score, today's contest featured rapid-fire goals in the opening frame. Flint got on the scoreboard first, scoring just over three minutes into the game. Hamilton answered right back less than a minute later. Flint grabbed the lead once again less than two minutes after the last goal, but the lead was short lived, with Hamilton getting even just 20 seconds later. From that point on, the game was all Hamilton. They tacked on three more goals to take a 5-2 lead into the second period.

Both teams tightened up the defense in the middle period, with chances being turned aside by the goaltenders at each end of the ice. There were no goals in the second, and the score remained 5-2.

The third period tilted entirely in favor of the Hamilton players, as they scored six unanswered goals over the 15 minutes of game action. When the final buzzer sounded, the score was 11-2 for the Canadian boys, and they swept the weekend series 2 games to none.
