    After making herself comfortable playing soccer in Florida, Samantha headed to the tryouts for the Venice High School Soccer team. Once they were over, the waiting began. She finally got the news that she has been hoping for over the past couple years - she was selected for the Varsity soccer team as a freshman! Way to go Sam! Although Sam has been wearing #29 almost since the day that she started playing travel soccer, that number wasn't an option for the Venice Indians team. Instead she opted to wear #11, in a nod to her basketball jersey (which she is unable to play this year due to the conflicting schedules). Check back here often for score updates and pictures.
